Generating National Content in Line with Supreme Leader’s Directives

When the spring comes, everything revives; words, speaking, decisions, wills, and programmes. When decisions become new, you unconsciously go towards programs in order to feel the message of having a spring and a year full of freshness from the smell and scent of their creativity and freshness. In the very beginning day of spring, when everybody becomes ready for the new decisions, we visited Hojatoleslam Seyyed Mohammadreza Aqamiri, member of the board of directors and deputy of Tebyan, the cultural-informative institute, in order to become informed of Tebyan programmes in the year of “National Production, Supporting Iranian Labor and Capital”.

Hojatoleslam Seyyed Mohammadreza Aqamiri knows the production of national digital content infrastructures for the national use as the most important mission of Tebyan cultural-informative institute in the New Year and says: “We have to continue the path of production and produce useful and effective information and try to localize these information so that they can meet the needs of Iranian users.” The full conversation is as following:

What is your assessment from naming the year 91 as “National Production, Supporting Iranian Labor and Capital”? It should be considered that in accordance with the order of the Supreme Leader about the national production, producing information is also one of the examples of national production. Currently, we are both the user and in many cases the producer of information in the country. However, the major and significant search engines are provided out of the country. That is, in spite of being the producer of information, we need foreigner’s search engines and data centres in order to use our information and for each of these facilities we have to spend money and be dependent on abroad. What do we have to do then? In order to fulfil the guidelines of the Supreme Leader, in the first place we have to produce information -that we have done it already- but since the information went out of the country and were put on the foreigner servers and data centres, they were not regarded as the national information but as the foreign information and we had to pay money in order to use them. Now, primarily we have to widely produce information by using modern technology such as scanning books, summarizing, collecting, and processing the information. We have to continue the way of information production and generate useful and effective information and try to localize the information, so that they can meet the needs of Iranian users. Secondly, we have to give the information to audiences through the Iranian server and search engine by strengthening the infrastructures and setting up domestic national network. This issue that national information should be given to Iranian user through national network is one of the obvious instances of the subject that was introduced by the Supreme Leader.

What is the strategy of Tebyan cultural-informative institute for the realization of supporting national production? Tebyan, as the largest information technology network of the country attempts to generate the great Tebyan search engine in the national virtual network in addition to the production of digital content and provide it for the use of Iranian users. In this way, the national information and content can be used and can be at hand on the Iranian search engine.

What was the achievement of Tebyan institute in the year of economic jihad? Thanks God, we succeeded to generate the great national data centre and realize the new data centre services. And now from the 100 per cent collection of that data centre, 90 per cent can be used and operated actively. We continue these services and extend and develop them in order to not facing the deficient hosting space as the need and tendency of users have been increased. The data services provided by Tebyan have various capabilities and, relying on these, the institute has been able to attract many costumers and applicants. Another achievement of Tebyan in the year of economic jihad was preparing the processor of pornographic images which is used in the filtering of virtual environment and flourished in the year 90. I, as the representative of the Islamic Development Organization in the “workgroup of determination of criminal internet content”, have seen this processor’s capability to screen different sites and I have seen how this processor recognizes the immoral content in the sites. It is worthy to appreciate and say thanks to Mr. Khamooshi (Dr.), the head of the Islamic Development Organization, for this valuable measure.

The final speech: It is worthy to congratulate the jubilant days of Norouz to all the Internet users, those who love and are interested in the information technology and great family of Tebyan and invite all to carefully consider the guidelines of the Supreme Leader and his order about national production. I want all friends to pay attention to the content of spiritual prayer of: “Oh Reformer of hearts and minds, Director of day and night, Transformer of conditions, Change ours to the best in accordance with Your will” and diligently work at this year which is named “National Production, Supporting Iranian Capital and Labour” for a revolution to be created in various socio-cultural situations. I want them diligently follow the production, especially the cultural productions; the issues of economy, culture, and cultural jihad should be given so much attention.
