In an interview with IRNA correspondent held on the occasion of martyrdom anniversary of Imam Sadeq (AS) on last Sunday, Hojat-al-Islam Haji Azizkhani said: what gave a distinctive feature to the Imamate period of Imam Sadeq (AS) was making use of the Imam’s infinite knowledge, training the scholars and establishing the intellectual and scientific school of Shia, according to the reports of public relations of Qazvin province’s Islamic development department.
Due to the prohibition of quoting the infallible Imams (AS)’s sayings in a long time by the Umayyad rulers, the strong need for quoting the hadiths and sayings of the great Prophet (S) and Amir-al-Moemenin (commander of the Faithful) (AS) caused Imam Sadeq (AS) to educate the narrators in various dimensions. Today, we witness that there are hadiths and traditions in every field from Imam Sadeq (AS), he noted.
The sixth Shiite Imam created a barrier against deviations by training narrators in various domains of interpretation, jurisprudence, history, sermons, ethics, speech, medicine and chemistry, Hojat-al-Islam Haji Azizkhani added.
In fact, this great number of narrators could compensate for the lack of traditions from the endless source of Imamate during different eras and Imam Sadeq (AS) achieved required success in this regard, he reminded.
In addition to training of narrators who were considered as the reliable news sources, Imam (AS) made efforts to establish a group of his special students in order to fulfill his second aim that was removing the differences and doubts from the religion, added the director general of Qazvin province’s Islamic development.
Hojat-al-Islam Haji Azizkhani continued: Imam Sadeq (AS) educated four thousand experts and scientists on different majors.
In spite of having great knowledge, Imam Sadeq (AS) was very modest in such a way that people always saw him fasting, praying and worshipping God, he asserted.
