Disseminating Religious Teachings Based on Rational Thought, Main Mission of the Press

The main mission of the press is to disseminate the religious teachings based on the rational thought, stated the director general of Qazvin province’s Islamic development department.

In the session attended by the managers and editors of the local press of Qazvin province, Hojatoleslam Ali Nematollahi added: the written media play an important role in forming the society, since the press generally encounters enormous audiences, public relations office of Qazvin province’s Islamic development department reported.

Although, today the digital media has become popular among the readers of the traditional written media, yet we have readers of traditional media in spite of all progresses in the cyberspace; and the very issue is the main and clear feature of the press which is very effective too in directing the culture of the public, he noted.

The religion is a medium, for this reason, the great Prophet of Islam (S) is called Nabi, Hojatoleslam Nematollahi added.

Stating that religion has the most audiences throughout the world, he noted: in spite of this fact that from the Renaissance era until now, the hegemonistic powers have always tried to destroy the religion by launching the extensive propaganda, today we witness the growth of spirituality and the great tendency of people towards the religion.

Among other media across the world, the medium of religion has the most audiences and it always tries to remind human being not to get involved just in material life, added the director general of Qazvin province’s Islamic development department.

The Islamic revolution of Iran disturbed all equations of the hegemonistic powers, and once again, it bestowed spirituality and the true religion to the social life of mankind, therefore, the officials of the press should take step to guide the society towards the humane perfection by considering the cultural issues and disseminating the religious teachings based on the rational thought, he reminded.

The director general of Qazvin province’s Islamic development department stated that one of the reasons why the young generation is attracted towards the East Asia rituals and the emerging sects is that they are not aware of the philosophy behind the Islamic laws and the religious principle of Islam, saying one of the missions of the press is to allocate a special column to this important subject and make use of the experienced experts to satisfy the young generation by providing them with beautiful reasoning.
