The late Imam Khomeini (RA) knew people as the main pillar of the government and from the beginning of the Islamic revolution, statistics indicate that the fervent participation of people in the election is the sign of the most democratic election in comparison with other countries which claim democracy; election in Iran enjoys maximum and enthusiastic participation of people and the very historical event is an effective element for the next generations, the head of Islamic Development Organization said on last Wednesday, public relations office of Islamic Development Organization reported.
People have perceived the security borders and know their participation in various arenas will strengthen the Islamic republic system of Iran against the hegemonistic system and such attendance can yield great results in the region especially in the next round of talks in Baghdad, he continued.
The Islamic revolution of Iran has established a relationship between Ummah and the leader; the leader has played the role of a guide and pioneer in this regard and people has swore allegiance to him, Khamoushi mentioned.
Regarding the features of an MP, Dr. Seyyed Mahdi Khamoushi stated: a member of parliament should be pious, follow the Supreme Leader of the Islamic revolution, develop justice, preserve the values of the Islamic revolution and be brave and competent in implementing the law.
The society demands a national determination, and the most important manifestation of this main aim is the people’s great participation in the election, since the whole world has a look at us and we have to show the world that we defend the right of those who were martyred in the path of achieving nuclear energy and the scientists and youths who are pioneer in the scientific area, Dr. Khamoushi added.
The people’s participation in the election is a firm proof of the legality of the Islamic republic system of Iran and shows the political power of Iran; today, considering the events occurred in Iraq and Afghanistan, we witness that the region is revolving around the Islamic Iran, he stressed.
At the end of his remarks, Dr. Khamoushi noted: the article 71 of the constitution indicates the high position of Majlis and its power, and one of the most important feature of a MP is that he should have a planning for the pride of Islamic Iran and a special look towards the future and the developmental laws of Iran and be insistent in this regard.
