Rajab, An Opportunity for Self-Building and Perceiving Truth of Qadr Nights

 

Congratulating all on the arrival of Rajab month, the director general of Tehran province’s Islamic development department announced this month as a golden opportunity to build the self, discover the self, gain readiness to enter the lunar months of Sha’ban and Ramadan and perceive the truth of Qadr nights (the nights at which the holy Quran was revealed).

Hojatoleslam Nasir Niknejad congratulated all on the arrival of the Rajab month, the month of Amir al-Moemenin (commander of the faithful), noting this month is a golden opportunity for youths and young adults and the public to discover the self and gain divine knowledge, public relations office of Tehran province’s Islamic development department reported.

He explained why this month is affiliated to Amir al-Moemenin, saying the most important reason is that Hazret Ali (AS) was born in this month, and the way to perceive Velayat was opened in this month; and this month prepares the ground for perceiving the truth of Qadr nights.

 Touching on the religious occasion of this month including the birth anniversary of Hazret Ali (AS), the Eid of Mab’ath (the commencement of the prophetic mission), Ayamol Beiz (the White Days of Rajab), the I’tekaf ceremony and the demise anniversary of Hazret Zeinab (S), the director general of Tehran Islamic development department added: thanks God, every year, we witness the enthusiastic participation of people in the ceremonies like I’tekaf in such a way that it is anticipated that one thousand Mo’takefs from Tehran will participate in the ceremony in this year.

This cultural official pointed out to the demise anniversary of the founder of the Islamic revolution system, the late Imam Khomeini (RA) and the anniversary of Khoramshahr liberation on 3th of Khordad and commemorated their memory too.
